Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.  It’s the perfect time for you and the ones you love to dose up on some Oxytocin. Commonly referred to as the “love hormone” Oxytocin is a neurotransmitter that acts as a hormone. This “love hormone”  is found only in mammals and needs the right stimulation to be released. Dr. Paul Zak (nicknamed Dr. Love for his prescription of 8 hugs a day) found that the human brain naturally produces oxytocin while breast-feeding, hugging, during sex, snuggling and massage.
